Obstacles Are Those Frightful Things You See When You Take Your Eyes Off Your Goal.

Going the distance!

Going the distance isn’t easy. It’s not for the faint of heart, it demands persistence, discipline, and a willingness to show up when it would be easier not to. Choosing to be a distance runner has shaped how I see the world. I understand that progress comes from commitment the early 4 a.m. runs before work, the mindset of getting comfortable with discomfort, and the quiet determination to keep moving forward.

My pursuit of creative leadership in the graphic design space is no different. I have an energy that needs an outlet. I am a maker, a visual storyteller, and a creator at heart. Great work doesn’t happen by accident, it comes from understanding the process, respecting it, and staying the course. I don’t claim to be the best creative in the world; there are always people who do certain things better. What sets me apart is my ability to listen, to lead, and to elevate those around me.

I take pride in truly hearing what a client is asking for and then delivering exactly what they envisioned, often refined and elevated. I take equal pride in bringing out the best in collaborators and teammates. I understand what it takes to create meaningful work at a high level, what it takes to lead creatively, and ultimately, what it means to go the distance.

Cheers,
Zak
